Rancho Parnassus is an all-day, all-ages, casual cafe and creativity hangout at the corner of Sixth & Minna Streets in the heart of San Francisco’s South of Market district (SOMA).
We are open 6 am - Midnight, Monday through Saturday. (Sunday brunch in the works.)
Our startup menu is focused on doing a few things well, while gradually building up to a full breakfast-lunch-dinner. Though not a “health food” restaurant, you could eat every day at RP and not worry about your health. No High Fructose sodas, no Trans Fats, no fried anything. Heavy on the veggies. Supplements, Nutrients, Probiotics, Enzymes, Vitamins, hand crafted sweets and Botanical Tonics are our impulse items. That’s the ticket for Sixth Street -- healthier fare, affordably priced.
We are honored to be serving outstanding Thanksgiving Coffee from Fort Bragg, Mendocino. (Please read their story at www.thanksgivingcoffee.com.) We make each cup one at a time, like a little meal. We are the first cafe to be using the low-temp, low-acid, super-smooth air press method. Just $2 for a Fair Trade Organic cup of coffee. Thanksgiving’s amazing roasts add yet another world-class coffee to the burgeoning artisan roaster cluster forming around Sixth Street.
We’re delighted to be pouring high quality North Coast Brewing beers. We stock their full spectrum of styles -- from crisp Pilsner, to sweet yet strong Belgiums, to an amazing American Stout that has converted many a Guinness stalwart.
And $1 off all beers for Happy Hour: 4pm - 7pm Weekdays.
And, there’s really good Gregory Graziano Mendocino wine as well. At $5 - $7 a glass. We are one of the few places in the Bay Area that serve Graziano wines, certainly at our prices. Most of all.. Rancho Parnassus isn’t just for sitting around. We’re a "creativity cafe": a stimulating environment for artists and musicians to make and do things. Our ultimate goal is to get the abundant untapped local talent around Sixth Street working together, and then showcasing their creations -- for free -- at the cafe.
We are very pro arts and community focused. Every day, we work hard to make our little corner of San Francisco brighter, safer, greener and more pedestrian friendly. We’re available for hosting learning events, artistic gatherings and networking socials.
Please make Rancho Parnassus part of your daily rounds -- either for a won’t-make-you-sleepy “Power-Up Breakfast”, a quick flavorful lunch, evening watering hole or inexpensive casual ‘date place’ beside the the Birch Trees and Seemore, our mechanical Owl Protector.
